WHY TEST HAIR?

Its relatively cheap, non invasive and can give the statistically significant probability, or not, of Mercury toxicity when analysed using Andy Cutler's Counting Rules. These are explained in the book 'Hair Test Interpretation - Finding Hidden Toxicities' by Andrew Hall Cutler PhD. 

WHY DO WE NEED THE COUNTING RULES?

If you expected to see high levels of Mercury in the hair test of a chronically toxic person, you are likely to be disappointed. Mercury binds tightly to fatty areas of the body, particularly organs like the brain.

WHAT ARE THE COUNTING RULES?

Mercury toxicity causes 'deranged mineral transport' according to Andy Cutler PhD, a Biochemist from the USA, who recovered himself from Mercury toxicity brought on by silver dental fillings containing Mercury.

The Counting Rules are used to assess the efficiency of 'mineral transport'. Very simply this means, how well the body is using the essential minerals it is supplied with. If deranged mineral transport is present, which can be determined by applying the Counting Rules, then in general, the essential elements are not reflective of nutritional status.

HOW DO I APPLY THE RULES?

WHERE TO OBTAIN THE TEST KIT

If you have a note from your doctor (on headed notepaper, simply saying please supply ELEMENTAL HAIR TESTING KIT to - your details) you can order the test from Doctors Data (DDI) in the US. They will accept a fax or even a scan sent as an attachment in an email. The results will be sent to the doctor who wrote the note.
