September 2005 Update & PDF of Lattitudes Article with photo's

Lenny (turns 7 in October) diagnosed at 24 months with autism (regressed, non-verbal, most of the usual symptoms). Chelated 39 rounds with oral DMSA/ALA beginning at 28 months.

Update since the Latitudes Story* over a year ago:

Attending first grade without any problems (reading, feedback from teachers very positive).

Can be stubborn and obstinate on occasions but I believe this is a normal family trait - from his mother's side:)

Well liked by the girls (spent 45 minutes yesterday talking on the phone to his "girlfriend") - this family trait is definitely from his father's side!

An amazing swimmer! Went snorkling two weeks ago with me at an ocean reef.

Wants to learn how to play the piano, go parachuting, and for me to buy him a motorcycle.

Currently taking daily multivitamin, clo, fish oil, probiotic, calcium, and benefiber (which has helped with the intermittent constipation).

This is an update written early September 2005, included here with Charlie Hoovers permission.
